Your instructor is an acoustic fingerstyle guitarist and fingerstyle instructor with 15+ years of fingerstyle experience. Starting as a self-taught bedroom guitar player in 2010, and later transitioning to formal guitar instruction, they know exactly where self-taught beginners struggle and how to shortcut the journey.
After teaching guitar to high school/ college students and adults in their 20's-30's, they realized beginners struggle with no clear path, jumping between random tabs and tutorials. Do I need to know music theory?
No! We teach entirely through visual tabs and demonstrations—zero music theory knowledge required.
What gear do I need?
1) A guitar, 2) a guitar tuner, 3) a metronome OR a phone/tablet with a guitar tuner & metronome app downloaded. We recommend the free version of "Fender Tune" or "GuitarTuna."
How much time will I need to spend each day?
Just 10-15 focused minutes to complete the micro-lessons and 20 minutes to complete the practice exercises. Of course, you are welcomed to dedicate more time to practice as there is no ceiling to how much you can learn each day. Students who spend more time practicing using the dedicated methods that we teach can achieve results even faster!
Do I have to finish the course in 30 days?
Definitely not! This is a self-paced course, the curriculum is divided into sections designed to be completed in 30 days. However, we understand that life can be busy and you may need to pause for a day or a few days at a time. This course gives you complete freedom to finish as fast as you want, or come back when you have more time. We do recommend going through the course consecutively with as few pauses as possible to get better results.
